It is nice book! It’s relaxing, but it has nothing in common with the broad ideas of the Odysey.

The whay how the story is presented is definitely not smooth and graceful, although in most of the time the tension builds up.

Unfortunately, the interesting applications of scientific inventions which I learnt about from the book were just a few, e.g. how the octopuses could be chased away with copper sulphite 🙂 🙂 Of course the reason about that could be in the hi-tech age whch we are living in.

And yet as for a book from the 90’s, I think Arthur Clarke did sterling job.
